An 18th century Oak country table with exceptional aged patination & good depth of finish. Mid oak or amber colour tones throughout. The planked oak top with square edge is supported by a sturdy peg dowel constructed frame consisting of pull out gate-legs to each side. The turned balustrade designed supports joined at the base by oak cross stretchers. Single drawer with original ring shaped handle to one end. These tables were designed to be placed against a wall as a space saving measure, the folding oak side leaves also making it easier to move the table around when needed in doors or out. The table is of lower height than a modern design table, but still allows for most chairs to be comfortable set underneath the frame.
Measures: Open 131cm, across 125cm, closed 42cm, Height 69cm.
