A 17th century William & Mary style caned back & seat walnut  armchair constructed in the 19th century. Circa 1870. Carved and pierced high back with elongated scrolling arms, raised on scrolling legs, joined by turned stretchers and carved and pierced frieze to front of base. Well worn historically developed patination. Cane backing missing & would need to be replaced & appropriately matched. This is an exceptional quality chair in perfect condition. Measures: 142cm height, 56cm width of seat, 52 cm depth of arms.
