A well constructed hand hewn Welsh Oak 18th century rural corner cabinet. Circa 1760.
The fact that the stiles (the vertical structural outer frame posts) continue straight down to the floor to form the feet, rather than terminating in attached bracket feet or a plinth, points directly to traditional regional/vernacular construction. The arched tops of the fielded or recessed panels on the doors are another signature element found across Welsh 18th century furniture. The Corner cabinet is built to sit flush to right angle corner of your room. Freshly painted cupboard interiors with shaped shelf fronts, all doors keyed & lock. Corner cupboard is constructed in two separate sections & measures: 198cm Height, 118cm length, 56cm depth.
